Poor idle for the last 3 months I have replaced spark plugs, air and fuel filter also cleanned injectors idle still uneven or low ( 5000 rpm). need to know a simple procedure to check for vacuum leaks.. please help
Waro, a vacuum leak will generally give a higher idle. Since yours is lower than normal, I'd check the IAC valve.
You might try cleaning it first, and if that dosen't help, maybe replacing it. Do a search for "clean IAC", and you'll get lots of info on cleaning it.
It's also quick and easy to check for vac. leaks at the same time.
While you're searching for the IAC thread you could also try searching for a vacuum leak check. I've described it in detail several times here. Now I just tend to tell folk to search for my username!
When I had the vac. leaks my idle was never high. I had multiple leaks amnd also a bad IAC at the same time; even when the IAC was fixed the idle was still low.
