I ran into this guy in the parking lot one day and we started talking about how to get more power out of the 06 F350 6.0. I already have a intake, exhaust and chip, so he said to replace the fuel injector pump before you replace the injectors themselves. He said I would be able to get atleast a 150 hp increase.
Would this be a smart move to take? and will it void the warrenty? Also if any one knows any sites where I could buy one?
Off the side act:: Is there any extensions out there for a intake system? I want to bring my filter out to the front bumper so I'm not breathing all the hot air in the engine.
You need to quit talking to strangers....didn't your mom get anything through your head....... Injectors, turbo and a fuel system are available, got a deep wallet?
Think about it... if a bigger fuel pump would give 150HP and not cause a serious decrease in the longevity of the engine (among other problems), don't you think Ford would be doing it?
Ahahaha.....well we don't have an injector pump. High pressure oil along with electric. With the bigger injectors from Beans, you will need to use a fuel system to supply the injectors. Add one turbo to move the air you will need. Stage 3 is ATS.....so I won't comment. You will need tuning to use the injectors also.
You can use a Boost-A-Pump that increases the voltage to your stock fuel pump in the HFCM, Innovative Diesels Extreme file and the 62mm wheel / AR housing Long Island Diesel offers.
