I noticed that my back up lights on my bronco weren’t working. I checked the fuses, wires, bulbs and there good. Now I think it could be the switch on the transmission. Is there any thing I forgot? How hard will it be to change the switch? About how much will it cost?
1978 ford bronco 351m 4 speed w/granny
Remove the throttle / kd lever.
The switch is held in place with 2 small bolts.
There is a small hole in the switch for proper alignment.
Insert a small cotter pin, move the switch until the pin enters the switch.
Tighten the bolts.
Don't let the throttle / kd shaft get pushed in too far.
Hold the lever as you tighten the nut.
