I took a 440 two stroke, 2 cylinder yamaha snow mobile engine and put it on my oddessy. When its running, if i turn the fuel adjustment screw up on the bottom of the carb, it will run right, but gas drips from the carb, not sure where. When i turn the fuel up, gas just bubbles out of the hole where the the top red arrow is. the bottom arrow is the adjustment screw. Isnt the fuel supposed to "spray" from the hole, not just bubble up? my guess is the gas drripping down is just over fill from the bubbling gas, just not sure. any in put on this?
Did it run on the sled?
Last engine I had do that was a kohler, the previous mechanic had drilled the jet out to get around a leaking carb gasket, and had accidentally drilled through to the idle passage, doubling the fuel it should have been getting.
Also, that engine will need to be jetted leaner for summer use, since it's jetted for max performance around 20ºf.
