Intense Vibration any clues ?

I have a 2004 Ford STX with 25K miles and every now and then not all the time but like earlier this morning i was driving and the truck shook until i got about over 65 MPH and then it would quit but then other time i would drive somewhere and it wouldnt do anything so i dont know what is going on... anyone else have the problem or have a clue of what i should do ?? thanks for any help

Did you have your parking brake set before you left this morning? There is a problem with the parking brake hanging up, and will cause vibrations like that. There is a TSB out there which dealers should know about to fix this.

well i set my parking brake every time i park the truck although i dont really have to but it is kind of a habbit so to answer your question yes i did, should i not set the parking brake?

that's most likely it. it's the park brake cam/lever that rusts and seizes up. My Dad's 04 XLT screw did the same thing and he fixed it himself.

Check your rear rotors right after it happens. There have been issues with the parking brake hanging up.
