Hello Troyer,
I am installing a Roush inter-cooled S/C in my 2005 FX4. Can you do a custom tune or does Roush have to do it? How about after a year after the install(Roush tune), can you re-tune it? Roush says only them...is that true?
You would be better off calling Troyer Performance. I don't have the number handy but the website is troyerperformance.com. They will be able to give you an answer. I would think Mike could take care of this for you.
h20boy,
I am satisfied with the tunes. Better throttle response, better shift points, and better acceleration. Definitely worth the money compared to the costs of other mods. No problems so far.
The throttle response and acceleration are great cut the best part is the general dirveability of the truck. Starts smooth and strong - pulls hard all through the power band. Just got my Troyer tunes installed last Friday.
just how hot of an engine can you tune? i got an 03 f150 that currently has a 4.6L in it.. now here are the ideas floating through my head
4.6 4v or 5.4L 4v most likely get them out of the aviator or the navigator.
aftermarket high performace guts.. crank, rods, pistons, injectors the goods.
Twin turbo setup. T3/04B turbos, intercooled..
ive seen this setup go to 1200 hp.. on the dyno. 800hp would do me fine
Mike is currently swamped, coming off a huge group buy (plus the Roushcharger install for the ford-trucks.com project vehicle put him even further behind). I know he's been working day and night tuning... he'll take care of you but doesn't promise instant service because he's in such demand because he's good at what he does.
Cool...cool. I just thought since he was the one that started this thread.....but what the heck. Ill give him time to catch up and catch up to him later. I really need to run off 25k miles before I am doing anything anyway. Thanks for the replies
