Mileage and emissions
I realize that emissions are going to be much lower with the Diesel Particulate Filter, but they will sacrifice other things. Mileage and horsepower will be lower with the DPF. I dont understand why the EPA isn't trying to raise mileage in our trucks, as this should reduce emissions and also cost less to operate. I do not know how the emssions from biodiesel compares to regular diesel, but I would think it is less. If so, why not run a B50 - B100 biodiesel. The only numbers I see raising are the cost for the new engines. I hate to say it, but if I buy an 08 or newer truck, it may have a gas engine.
