Bolt pattern question

Bolt pattern question
Am looking at a set of rims on ebay that the guy doesn't know the bolt pattern but states it is 3 1/4 inches from center to center on lug nuts. That's what mine measure. Does this equal a 5.5 bolt pattern? Part of me says that if my lug nuts are 3 1/4 inches CTC and his holes are the same they will work, but the other part doesn't want to shell out 3 bills plus shipping to find out they're wrong.

It's actually 3.234 inches center to center- just a whisker under 3-1/4". Nothing else would be even close- just be sure he's measuring center to center. Try to find out the backspacing, and compare it to one of your own wheels.
