crane cam ignition problem

crane cam ignition problem
finally ive had my 78' 302 rebuilt,,its got edelbrock intake and holley 4 barrel carbs, next ive replace the points type ignition to a crane cams xri electronic ignition,matching it with crane cams hi-6 and lx92 coil..the problem is somtimes when i crank my engine the light on my crane cam hi-6 wont blink it stays open and the engine just wont start if it doesnt blink..if it does blink the engine would start,, ive check all the conections according to the manual and everythings fine..except for the ignition,,ive adjusted the ignition and its fine only problem is if the light on the hi-6 wont blink it means its not getting any reading inside the distributor..how can i correct this problem? is it the xri unit in the distributor thats failing sometimes? need ur advice if yuo have ,,tnx in advance..
