Door Seals - Stupid Question
With all the rain that we are currently getting (not complaining, just stating fact) my doors have started accumulating water in the door sills since I put new seals on the doors. If you look at the door, water that runs down the windows, past the window felts, and out the bottom of the door ends up on the INSIDE of the door seal in the door sill area. If the door seal works, then it traps that water in the door sill area.
Sorry if I'm being dense, but I don't see how that water is supposed to get out.
Help! If I'm being stupid just be nice and I'll apologize and go away quietly.
thanx,
Bill

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
Thanks for the reply.
I got under the truck yesterday and found all the drains open (they should have been since I sand blasted and rust proofed the inside of the doors when I rebuilt them). I got my son to pour water over the outside of the door and window while I was inside and found that the water was running down the window to the inside of the door and into the cab around the bottom door panel. I've created a temporary diverter to move the water away from the inner door panel and it seems to have eliminated the issue.
I remember having some residual gasket material around that panel when I took the door apart -- I guess now I know what that was for. Guess I'll have to go back and re-gasket that panel to keep the cab really dry.
Thanks again for the response.
Bill
