I have a broken wheel hub on my 1966 F-100 Custom Cab and I bought some at the junk yard from a 1969 but they will not fit. The junkyard wasn't sure whether they would or not but they thought they might fit. Well they didn't. Can anyone tell me what year and model Ford hubs that are interchangeable with my 1966 F-100 hubs. It is a three speed manual transmission. I appreciate all the great advise you all give, it really helps. Thanks alot.
Thanks John for the reply. I just finished e-mailing you for the location of the junk yard. It sure is great to have help since I am a female and I'm not supposed to know to much about working on vehicles. That's what some of my co-workers seem to think. I grew up helping my brother work on his race car and helping him in his garage. Wish I was that young now. These old bones sure do ache after crawling around under that truck all day.
I'll will more then likely be asking a lot of questions since this is the first time I am trying to totally refurbish a truck. It sure needs a lot of work done on it, but it will be worth it when its finished.
tt, wimmens is welcome here. There is a wimmen moderator on the site. I can tell this though, you wimmens aint got the market cornered on them aching bones thing. In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
Well guess what? I am in North Carolina. Glad to know there are some more tarheels out there that own these 60's Ford trucks.
I'm in the Asheville area of North Carolina and my husband and I both love old vehicles, especially Ford Trucks. We just finished helping my son refurbish a 1973 Ford F-100. I ran across the one I have for $250 and couldn't pass it up. It runs great but the body needs alot of work. Working on the floor pans now. Need to find a front wheel hub on drivers side. So far haven't been able to find one. I have a local junk yard that is trying to find me one but haven't heard anything yet.
tt, Any floor from 65 to 79 truck will work. If you are ever coming on I-85 in Durham, stop and see if we can catch a Pepsi and talk a little trucks.
We got some members up your way in the group, Canton, Morganton, Cherryville.
