Lifter clatter on start up???

Lifter clatter on start up???
Rebuilt 302. All new parts. Other than getting the timing right (its not a Mopar!) it was a breeze. Finally got it timed correctly.
Fresh Penzoil 20w50 oil, filter, and Lucas.
Lifters clatter for a brief few seconds. Properly adjusted? Yes. Theres was no adjustment. They are Positive Stop rockers.
Timed at book specs with the exception of advancing the timing by changing the plates in the distributor. All that did was set my mechanical advance higher to compensate for lack of low end torque.
Any ideas??

Usually after it sits for a while.
Either all night, or all day while at work they will clater a bit.
During the day when I am driving it on and off, they dont clatter.
I have good oil pressure except at an idle, in gear and with my foot on the brake but I figure that is normal.
I didnt put a high pressure oil pump in it due to the fact I dont have a deep sump pan.
Usually after it sits for a while.

When I asked "sit for a while" I meant like 2-3 weeks or more 
Your oil viscosity is high enough it shouldn't be draining back enough to cause lifter click.
Maybe try a can of Marvels Mystery Lube in there to see if that quiets them down?
High volume & High pressure pumps shouldn't be installed in stock engines anyway.
Since you just rebuilt this engine,I would give the engine a chance to "wear in" a little before I got really concerned.
