223 Six Engine Color?

Anyone know the original colors for a 1961 223 Inline six in the F100? Thanks!

223 Six Engine Color?

I believe the 223 color scheme, at least in the 61-64 was:

Red valve cover and unpainted cast iron/steel on all other block components. Not sure of the treatment on the oil-bath air-filter bowl.

223 Six Engine Color?

I had a '60 that had a green engine. Hard as hell to find the color too. I think it was painted by someone who some spare piant laying around. But you never know.

Hellow, My fathers 64 223 was red. A 63 223 I looked at was red also.

P.S The oil bath air cleaners on both of these engines were black.
