Radiator Question / Bad Weekend

I just ordered a new radiator this morning......need to know if i can remove the radiator without having to remove the fan clutch? When i did the waterpump, took me alot of time getting that thing off. Looks like i can slide the radiator up without taking the fan off??

Not a good weekend for me....radiator leaking all over the road....looks like my alternator might have gone, all gauges went down as i was driving and now the truck won't start...checked batteries and no water in one of them....175k on my f350 and batteries 5 years old.

And on top of that.....going across a 2 lane bridge...dodge dually of all things came too close to me and took out my mirror! Guess he was jealous!

Man, sorry to hear about your weekend - that is the pits.

On my '01 the radiator is very easy to remove. Take the shroud off and slide it over the fan and leave it. The radiator has two bolts on the top. Disconnect them and all the hoses and lines and mine slides right out the top. No need to mess with the fan or clutch. Hope yours is the same way.

Sorry to say it looks like you're going to need two new batteries too. Interstate Megatrons are a good choice
from what i've heard.

On batteries I did the Optima red tops and noticed immediate difference. They are pricey though.
