Question 500 horsepower

Hey guys, I am considering adding a lot of mods to my truck... 02 7.3. I would like to know what I need to add to get around 500 horses at the rear wheels. Money really is not an issue. I would like it to be as safe as possible though. Currently I have Superchip and 4 in. Magnaflow Exhaust w/o muffler.
I am thinking 18k mod, stacks, stage 3 injectors, and propane, what else will I need to add in the turbo and tranny area. Thanks.

You might want to add rods to your list. Delete the 18k mod and have custom tuning done for your injector and propane setup. Tranny, search for BTS or Brian's Truck Shop. He'll set you up since money is no issue. Turbo, search for Bean's Diesel Performance. You can go over with him what kind of power you want to push and he'll set you up with the proper setup.

Good luck.

500hp my way, would be cryo treated and balanced stock forged rods, lo comp. ceramic coated Mahle pistons (higher EGT "redline"), hybrid 530 injectors, H2E turbo, high flow fuel system, headstuds, custom DP tuning, BTS transmission,BTS dual HPOP, Spearco IC, chromoly push rods, hi rev valve spring kit if you plan on 4000+RPM, and inconel exhaust valves.

i would not go with propane, i would choose nitrous over that. it is termed "turbo in a bottle". i may keep the van turbo i have now, add an ATS, and use lots of spray to make up for the fuel.

oh, and of course, stacks. preferably 6"

If money is no object, why not see what those PMRs can take? I know I'm curious but money is an object for me.

im jealous i wish i could aford 500hp at the wheels. just make sure you have some guages to keep an eye on your engine and you will definately need a beefed up tranny to handle all that power. are you going to do truck pulls with it?

all i can tell you is your gonna like it. ive got around 450hp at the wheels (according to david lott)-havent dynoed yet. ive still got my stock tranny i cant see it lasting much longer though, and it plain and simple has WAY more power than i or the truck needs. at highway speeds it accelerates very, very hard. launching it in 4wd around 20 psi i ran 5.84 0-60 (according to my evolution) im sure i could gain a tenth or two with a bts tranny because my stocker slips so bad. a stock z28 does it in 5.4 seconds, unless the guy your up against really knows how to shift you can take him. do your research though, you can have some of the best parts in the world, but the one that isnt will take everything out with it. have fun and good luck

So how much dose it cost to install forged rods in a enigne with PMR's or is it cheaper to rebuild it and install forged rod that way. maybe if I ever get enough money to have forged rods in my '02. i dont see that happening for a very long time being that I just had to put a new BTS trans in my truck. WOW I LOVE IT.

i just dynoed 545 with my setup.

BDP- custom hybrid injectors, hybrid h2e turbo, headstuds, hi flow intake plenums, custom fuel system
DI- race intercooler
faubion motorsports custom trans
Tony Wildman custom tuning
fully built engine with mahle pistons, arp mainstuds, wipeout enterprises billet rods, new IH heads with arp v springs, chromoly pushrods, balanced.

I would HIGHLY reccommend billet rods or hypermax rods as opposed to stock rods. Also the reason for a "rev kit" isnt for revs alone its also to control valve float at high boost. If you want all the $ figures pm me.
