hey guys, took my 06 f-250 4x4 6.0 (gallery) on it first road trip last thursday. went from the bay area up to lassen volcanic national park (east of redding). let me start off by saying i installed a mbrp turbo back system tuesday before i left, i figured this would be a good way to break it in! as for the trip my baby averaged 19mpg at 75 with the a/c on!!! for only having 5000 miles on her id say thats pretty good. i could never pull 19 out of my 7.3.
now for the bad, once at lassen around the peak parking lot (about 8500 feet) when i would accelerate and take my foot off the gas i developed that "turbo burp". and now that im home it is gone. could it have just been the altitude?? anyone else had these problems? any info is appriciated. thanks guys

yes, i developed the same turo "bark" when we went on a cross country vacation in june, we were in colorado up high and thats when i noticed it. it has gone away now except for when i accelerate and let off or when i go up a hill and let off the pedal and can hear it barking.
i am planning on taking it to the dealer as soon as i can get off work to do it, but the truck runs great anyways.
but funny thing is, we made that same trip last december and it didn't bark at all.
so i guess no one else has noticed the turbo "bark" at altitude??
mine has stopped now that i have returned to the bay area! lets hope it stays that way
