I've heard them...didn't strike me as loud (compared to other exhausts). It depends on the vehicle, the style, and a myriad of other things as to the loudness and sound emitted.

Thumbs up Hope this gives some insight!

I've got Gibsons Swept Side, have had it 4 years and I love it! Installed it myself and of course I was looking for a good stealth exhaust. I have been happy since the day I bought it. When idling it has a slight rumble but it won't wake the neighborhood. As far as rust, forgetaboutit. the only rust is from the clamps. I also had the exhaust tach welded for an extra loosening precaution, all except where I connected to the pipe after the converter.

I have a Gibson cat back exhaust as well as a set of shorty headers on my 89 F-150 with 5.0L, It has a nice tone to it but isn't what I would call loud at all. Overall I'm very happy with it.

Had the Gibson super truck cat-back on a 97 F-150 short bed w/ the 4.6L. Wasn't loud, had a nice rumble. I'd have to say I liked the sound but I personally like the sound of Flowmasters better. Based on overall quality, sound, etc... I'd buy Gibson again for sure.
