The ABS light came on and the brake pedal is a little spong. Previously, everything was fine and the light came on while driving. I have checked the pads and rotors, replaced the master cyllnder, bled the entire system and tried disconnecting the battery. Is there any way to trouble shoot these types of problmes?
I have an Autoxray 6000 scanner that does not show any codes but I am not sure if it communicates with the ABS. Does anybody know if this particular scan tool is up to the Job?
It is a 2000 XLT Explorer with 4WD and the SOHC V6.
Thanks,

Reason: Additional Info
Yes it has a seperate ABS controller, and codes have to be pulled using a scantool that can communicate with ABS.
The most likely cause is the rear speed sensor. it's $15-25 depending on where you live and held into the top of the rear differential by 1 bolt and an electrical connector, however this would not cause a spongy pedal.
Check to make sure the calipers slide smoothly, and if you have rear drum brakes they are properly adjusted.
