Just scored a 78 F350 Trailer Special for $500! It has a new Edelbrock performer 460 intake and a Holley 4 barrel. Decent to good body and a good fiberglass top. It has a burnt valve so I have to go through the motor, but heck, I was really after the intake ,carb, camper cover and running gear!
I had never heard of "Trailer"Special. It also came with owners manual and the neat accessories color brochure that you can get from the dealer displays! Went through the manual and it lists 2 towing packages that are called Trailer Special. A light duty and a Heavy duty package. It listed the options for each and I have a Heavy Duty towing package equipped F 350!
It was neat to look at the brochure full of goodies from the 70's. brought back memories from when I was a kid!
Cool. Can't beat the price. What trim level is it? The factory caps are getting scarce around here. I have a '78 F250 CS with a deluxe cap and my dad has a '74 F100 with the standard cap. Hardly ever see them anymore.
