I finally got my running boards installed. It took a little engineering but it came out well. I've had them almost a year and haven't had the time to sit down and work on them. They're made by a company called AMP Research. See what ya think...

What happens when you are parked off road and there isn't clearance for the step to swing?? Does it jam and burn out or does it have a reversing switch to put it away?
I believe the motors work on current draw. When they deploy and lock I hear the relays or something in the control box click off. So I guess if it hit something imobile it would just stop there.
yea ... I needed something for the wife and kids to use. But, I didn't want bars or steps hanging down all the time. I just don't want that kinda look.
