switching 3rd brake light
I have a 06 Ranger that I want to switch out the all red third brake light with one that has the white bed lights. I have the brake light in hand and it came with about a 3 inch lead from a truck I got it from. Now the question, how hard is it to wire this thing up? Do all the Rangers come wired the same and they just use the wires they need or are they wired differently? This setup for the all red light and that setup for the red/white light? And help will be great. Thanks

You could probably re-use your old brake lights. I imagine they'll just slide and pop into place. As for the cargo lights, you might get lucky and have some wiring in there. If not, they, on my truck, are connected into the overhead dome light, so you'd just have to splice into the wiring for the dome light, and off you go.
