Has anyone tryed the SCT Xcal2 supplied by DP-Tuner? Couldn't see if it comes with the Multi-Position Switch or not.

The SCT Xcal2 is not a chip, it's a tuner. Basically Jody sells the SCT with his tunes on it. The benefit of the SCT is if you wanted a custom tune, Jody can email it to you and you can load it onto the SCT and then onto your truck. But the down side is you can't switch on the fly like a chip and it's costly.

I was new, ignorant and a little weary when I first started this. So I bought my Predator because I was not patient and didn't do my homework first. Don't get me wrong my Predator worked great, however there was better out there and I didn't know it. Until... I met these guys! Trust me on this! I just mailed off my Predator today to someone who bought it on E-bay. For the same amount of money you can buy a 4-position chip from Jody(DP-Tuner.com). At the very least, call him and have all your questions answered. If you need a code reader goto Auto Zone for free! The more this thead goes on you will see a pattern.

I have a 3 tune SCMT. What differences would I see if I switched to the DP. I run the 90hp setting all the time. The only mods I have are a 4'' exhaust(3.5" down pipe), AIS, & Zoodad. If it is worth changing, I would be interested in swapping. Jonathan

I think the question you need to ask is whether anyone has

1. Disliked their DP-Tuner program/programs
2. Switched from something to DP Tuner and liked their old setup better

There have been some DP chip glitches here but Jody has always taken care of them from what I can see. Can't go wrong there.
I'm of the same frame of mind, I have been runna a TS for over a year now and have been very happy it. I was going to buy a DP back then but when I talked to Jody at the time he was not doing much for the Excursions at the time. Since then I have seen a few people running them on the X so I'm a little curious about how they work with the X now.

Why not get him to send you a programmed ECM? $75 plus the cost of the ECM.

So I would have to use a programed ECM along with the 6-position chip?

I don't think so. I believe he will just need the number off of your PCM unit. Additionaly, I think you could probably just send him the TS unit and he should be able to load whatever tunes you want in it. If I am not mistaken, he was using a TS made chip for his tunes before this new unit came out. Could save the cost of the chip. Gotta check with them though. I am also thinking about this for later.

For a quick trial, you just send him your PCM codes, he sends you a programmed PCM and you see how you like it by swapping out the PCMs.
