High Pitched Noise From Engine

I've noticed when we first get our trucks out, especially on cold days, they make a higher pitched noise it seems, consistent with engine RPM. Anybody wanna enligten me on why that is?

I am guessing it is the fan who's viscous clutch hasn't warmed up...

It also could be increased air flow through the IAC valve, which raises the idle on a cold start.

Alternator recharging the battery. Easy enough to verify too.

I doubt it gets cold enough in Texas, but it IS a Ford- my power steering makes a bit more noise right after a cold start. (Not that I don't hear what the other's have mentioned as well.)
