Does anyone make a FULL front fender for the '61 - '66? I've been searching and haven't found any. Patch panels won't work for the amount of damage done in Monday's crash. Guess while I'm asking, how about the radiator mount. It too is real bad. Both rust and crash related.

Thanks for any help. I want my '65 back running.

PS. I'll post this over on the bodywork forum too.

The core support (holds up the radiator and both fenders) this part is unique for 1965. These tend to rust quickly and will be difficult to find. Fenders from 61-66 will fit and are pretty much the same. Inner fenders are unique for 65. Front bumpers are the same from 65 to 72. I find most of my body parts in the Junk Yard. I am in Georgia and I have a line on a 65 long bed that you may be able to buy for parts? If you find a 66 you will need the entire clip and this is a bolt on swap. I think you should plan on fixing the core support (straighten, patch and paint). Strength is important but looks aren’t since it is mostly out of sight. The inner fender can be patched and pounded out, and it is out of sight so it doesn’t need to be perfect for a driver. The stone gard is basically a flat piece of tin and is also easily repaired (depending on damage). Have you disassembled the truck? Were the frame horns bent? How about the brakes? What was the failure? I am curious about that one! Please post back.

Thanks guys! What a great wealth of knowledge this place is. Must be why I read it everyday!

There are 4 salvage yards in my area, west central Illinois, and we have leads on a couple of parts trucks.

William - Truck has not been disassebled yet. Unfortunately this was a week where I had zero spare time. Body shop can't get it in until next week either. Brakes get fixed over the weekend first. The brake line to the rear must have been getting weak and the "panic brake" was too much for it. Frame horns do not appear bent. Body shop will be fixing the core support, but would like to find a replacement to fix as mine is bent pretty severely and like most others, rusted.

Thanks again!

Jeff

If your search for a salvaged fender does'nt pan out, let us know and someone can hook you up.
Other than that, there are a few vendors that offer a fiberglass fender.

Don't know which fender you need but here's a driver's side front fender on ebay - a little over two days left on the auction and it's at $61 right now.
