I bought a '95 XLT Explorer. The down-side is it has a little over 200,000 miles, but that is the only down-side. This is my second EXP. My first one I had for 10 months and only put gas in it and never had a problem. That one has been sold because I wanted a round grill. I must admit it needs an alternator but not desparately and it has a small oil leak that rids a drop every 11-14 miles. Went and bought Lucas Oil stabalizer from AutoZone which should heal that problem since it's small. I work in a auto shop changing oil and have learned a thing or two about automobiles. I have read more post on here with EXP's havng problems and I'm nervous. I had good luck with my first EXP, but after reading all the problems being posted I'm second guessing Ford Explorers.
My truck is solid Navy blue with a nice paint job and smooth body. Future mods will be: 22" rims, stainless steel running boards and candy green paint. I'm not sure about the interior yet but I'll think of some ideas and let you guys know.
