E150 Bad Hesitation
I have a 94 E150 5.0L Van. It recently developed a problem of hesitating, either off idle or when picking up speed. Worse with AC on. It sound like its gulping for air, like it's not getting enough gas or air or something. If i press the accelerator to the floor, it will catch and take off and then be ok for a while. It is not running rough. Idle is ok. New gas filter, plugs, wires, air filter, and no vacume leaks. The check engine light will come on sometime, but will not stay on.
I think it could be one of the sensor, but wich one?
Any help would be great.
Thanks.
Mike
But looking at the vacuum hose routing map located on the front of the truck thier is no indication of a MAP sensor.
What items that are shown are as follows; Main VAC at rear of engine Manifold with three hose's.
#1 goes to the VRESER container then to, two SOL V and a EVR.
The first SOL V then goes to AIR B, The second SOL V then goes to AIR D
and the EVR goes to the EGR tied to the throttle body.
#2 goes to the FPRC ( The power brake ).
#3 goes to the AC system through the fire wall to the dash control then to the damper control.
Since the AC / Heat controls seem not to be working as before all this. I think here lies the problem , some where in these lines, Dash control or damper actuator.
I will isloate the AC/ Heat Vacuume line with the golf tee plug trick and see if I still have the Power problem saturday.
Just my luck it's going to rain.
Gotta love a Ford, had one all my life.
Thanks again to all.
keep sending any info if you think it would help.
