Markadeck, I am with you. The only difference between a USA and a Canada Truck is the Daytime Running Lights and the Speedometer. Canadian law requires that the Speedometer be in Kilometers. Certain State laws require Daytime Running Lights.
It sounds like to me that the previous owner may have lived in Canada, but travelled in the USA frequently and special ordered the truck for a Speedometer to read in Miles instead of Klics or that it was a USA truck that was built for a State that required Daytime Running Lights and that a dealership swap occurred. Dealers swap vehicles all the time. There is no acutal difference in a truck between the USA and Canada.
I'm still trying to figure out what the actual problem is here. You don't like the truck? You don't want the truck anymore? Mystery to me.
There is nothing wrong with the truck. Never said there was. I just pissed off that the dealer, according to Alaska Statutes, were supose to post somehing in the window of the vehicle stating it is a Canadian vehicle, tell me up from and sign papers stating that I am purchasing a Canadian vehicle. Also extended warrenties for Canadian vehicles are expensive and don't cover much.
With a Miles per hour speedo, it is very doubful that it is Canadian, just sold in Canada by a dealer swap. With this in mind, the dealer would not have to disclose that information as he would presume the same.
