I have a 2006 f250 CC 6.0 Lariat 4x4. It seems if I let it sit for more than a day that the engine turns over slowly before it starts. As this is my first diesel, I don't know if this is normal. it does not seem to happen if it is driven everyday.
Anything to worry about? I only have had it for 10 months and have only driven about 7k miles.

Take it to Sears or one of the Auto Supply stores that can check your battery and alternator for condition and output. It may also be that your not driving it much (at least highway speeds)... to properly charge your batteries?
It does take a lot of "umph" to turn over a diesel and ignite the fuel to start, so I would drive it for a weekend and see if this doesn't bring your batteries up to 100%. City driving is hard on batteries, or you could just have a bad battery with low capacity (under warrenty still I assume)... so maybe the dealer can look at under bumper to bumper warrenty????
After a few days of setting, hook a voltmeter to your battery and see what you have. If the alternator is not charging the batteries would be dead no matter what. Do you have any electrical items on the truck you have added? Are you pulling a trailer or leaving it hooked to a trailer?
Leaving a trailer hooked to the truck won't hurt unless the lights are left on. No current flows thru the battery charge line unless the truck is running. Now an aftermarket stereo/amp might cause a drain over the weekend, but I think there is an "auto-off" on all electrical items after about 45 minutes. If I leave my interior lights on overnight, they are off in the morning.
Thanks for the reply. I just had it serviced at the dealer and had them check it. Everything checked out ok.It might be as others here have suggested that my city drtiving is being hard on the batteries.
Just a thought about the trailer issue. I am going camping this week and will be pulling a tent trailer. Hope that the long distance (1000 miles) gives the battery a little extra kick.
I normally only drive about 10 miles a day. Hope this doesn't shorten the life of the batteries too much.

i might be off in left field with this but another thing to think about is weather temps, and the fact that sitting for more then a day might be letting the oil settle more so it takes a little longer to get there. just a thought. im new to diesels to so im learing as i go.
