doesn't the 95 have a TFI ignition? if so you can get the MSD replacement for it and it's a direct fit. other than that I run MSD in my race truck (granted it's not a 6A, I run a 7AL-2) but I have always put them inside the cab to make sure they stay dry but then again I also take my trucks through mud alot.
Joe, what I did was kind of redneck-ish and I didn't expect it to last very long. That was about 10k ago.
I assume you are talking about the spark box and not the coil, right? Rob's right, the coil goes right in place where it used to go, but the spark box you have to get creative with. I put mine on the passenger fender, right in place of the vacuum reservoir. Then I used a couple long zip ties to securely fasten the reservoir back in place, and it's held ever since.
I have owned a 92 F150 for years and had kept some extra parts from it when I would replace them. I found the K&N filter and bracket that comes in the kit for these trucks, I used that on my 95. When I did that I had to remove the air cleaner box and put on the K&N filter. This left just enough space below the new filter to mount the MSD box (on the top side of the metal bracket). You almost can't tell it is there.
