steering wheel nut...
i tried once very briefly to straighten my steering wheel by loosening the nut, but the wheel wouldn't move.... is there something i'm missing? again, i tried only briefly, i didn't spend much time messing with it. thanks

usually a crooked steering wheel is an alignment adjustment. if you just want to adjust the steering wheel itself you need to loosen the nut until its flush with the top of the threads and while pulling on the wheel with your knees and one hand, smack the nut with a hammer a time or two and it'll pop off. then completely remove the nut and set the wheel in the position you want and tighten everything back down.
