oil pan help

oil pan help
i have a 95 f150 4.9 stick shift that has a leaking oil pan that needs replacing. i was told i have to jack the moor or drop the tranny to get the pil pan off. is this true? its a 2wd if that helps

Yes, help a buddy years ago an we had to jack engine up, turn crank over for clearance to get pan off. Take your time, not too bad of a job. Use the pins to keep gasket in place. Good Luck
