76 Ford Quadravan, looking for replacement engine...
Hey guys, Im new to this site, my old pickup is about to die and I need an engine for it, a 302. I also have a rust free 76 ford quadravan with a blown engine (I must be hard on my vehicles!) If anyone know of someone who has some good, reliable engines out there for sale at a reasonable price, close to cincy ohio, please give me a shout. Or if, you are some rich dude and you want to offer me a ton of money for my van in its current state, then please feel free to contact me! Thanks

How about a 88 460 with 38k miles on it or an 89 302 with 115k? On the 302 you'd have to buy the van with it. On the 460 you'd have to pull it from the RV yourself. I'm in Elkhart, IN.

Check around dayton, there should be a u-pick yard in dayton or franklin. I think you'd be happy with a 302 from a crown vic, make sure you get an '87 or newer, and just transfer your truck's intakes and exhaust manifolds over. Other than that it's a direct bolt in for a 302. What engine is in the van?

The engine in my pickup is a 302. The engine in my van is a 460. Both are bad. I checked out Jasper, I like the idea of a remanufactured engine for each but it was too expensive so Im looking around for options. I dont have room for another vehicle and I dont have all of the equipment to pull an engine. But thanks and keep the suggestions coming.

Plance, your 76 vans looks in pretty nice shape! Looks like a keeper. When you said "quadravan" do you mean it is a 4x4?

Yes, its a 4x4, which is pretty rare. If I have my information correct, there were only a couple companies that made them, Quigley and Pathfinder, Pathfinder made my Quadravan.
