Head Removal Question???
Can anyone tell me if removing the head on a 144 Cu. In 6 from a 63 Econoline is a pretty straight forward job?? Never did it before and was wondering if I should be aware of anything?? From manual, looks pretty easy.
Thanks and look forward to your replies.

i'm guessing the manifold change didnt go as well as we had hoped it would!
now would be a good time to surface the head and manifold mating surfaces. just watch out for the "snowball effect!". always seems to get real expensive for me because of 1 little boo boo!
[i was only going to replace the head gasket, REALLY. then the valves didnt look so good, and the head was off anyway. then, well it just snowballed from there! 1300 bucks later i had one sweet 200 with new clutch and everything!]
All bolts but one came out well, that one started fine then, BOOM, it snapped like that. Flush to the head. Figure I'll just take head off so I have room to work.
Oh well, if all went to easy we would not learn anything, LOL.
