Their is a 71 ranchero for sale near my house, its a very nice looking car. The owner told me that it has a 429 cj. Is this a rare car, if so how many were there made and what might this car be worth in very good condition.

the cobra jet refers to the type of heads the motor has if I remember right, and the 429 was the highest price motor option you could get in the cars that had it. I'd say based on that it's worth some money, and it's pretty rare. As for price, somebody else is gonna have to help you there. My advise is don't go into major debt on any car, but it's your money.
