Removing A/C

Hey guys. My AC died on my 94 150 5.0 and I was planning on removing the compressor and installing the AC delete pulley. My question is would it be better to remove all of the AC components or is it OK to leave them in place? Thanks!

When my a/c fried on me last year I had a tech shop vacum out all of the system, then I removed the a/c compressor. I just plugged the in and out lines with rubber plugs and left the rest of the system as it was. The bypass pulley works well and was only about $25.00 or so from Ford. I hope to get a new a/c system later this year and have started ordering new parts like the drier and stuff. The compressor itself is a little out of my affordability range right now. I plan on having the system scavenged again before I install the new parts just in case there is condensation or other types of spooge in the lines. I can't say if I did this the right way or not - it's just the route that I took.

Cheers!

Mike

Are you thinking of selling that compressor? I have a need for one for my `91 F-250.
