Hello,I have a 2007 F250 V10,& it has the advanced security system.My question is ,are the parking lights supposed to flash when you unlock the truck with the key fob?Our 2004 Escape has it,and the lights flash when unlocked.Both vehicles flash & beep the horn when locked.Also is there supposed to be any kind of light that flashes on the dash or anything for the security system?The Escape has a light that flashes & my 2003 F150 had a security light on the dash.Any help is much appreciated,thanks,Al.

 

I have an 06 with the system. I never noticed if the lights flash when i lock it but I don't think so. The horn beeps only if you press it twice when you lock it. The security light is on the steering column.

The advanced security group package DOES NOT include any type of alarm. therefore the is no warning red light.

 

Then what is the flashing red light on the side of my steering column. It faces the drivers side ?

All i can say is the Advanced security group package does NOT include the alarm. They are dealer installed options and yours may have been done by the delaer prior to sale.

The advance security group is basically a keyless entry with keypad package

 

As already mentioned the Advanced Security Group does NOT have a security alarm.

Advanced Security Group:

The Security alarm system is an EXTRA dealer only install.

Thanks gang,yes thats what the dealership told me today.

 

If you are now worried about your SD and for good reason as these trucks take about 10-30 seconds to be stolen. That is how easy it really is. Just need a screwdriver...and SD is gone.
