I am experiencing problems with my electronic climate control unit in my 2004 f150 lariat. Worked this morning and when I got in the car after work, went back out 45mins later and the climate control unit goes on and off itself every 10 secs. If I turn the unit off, the lights in the unit will do the same.
I should note that I just installed a PIE unit to hook up my satelite radio and hard wired the power to the accessory plug in the dash. Everything worked fine after the install which was three days ago.
I also have a Edge Evolution hooked up.
Curious if either of these things are related to my climate control issue. Can anyone help or offer some suggestions before I call the dealer.
After posting this, I found another thread that suggested unplugging both plugs of the climate control unit and then plugging them back in. I did that and it is working again. Also read that people disconected the neg bat terminal which does the same thing.
I'll keep an eye on it, and if it acts up again it's going back to the dealer. I'm at 33,500mi and as you all now, the warranty is up at 36,000.
