Favorite Ford Engine

I'm wondering what is your favorite Ford engine?

Dang it I forgot to put the Flathead V-8 up there and it won't let me edit it.

I had to go with the FE. It would be treason to my current truck. I was really close to picking the 300 since after all the effort I put in trying to kill it I couldn't.

I had a hard time to decide, finally went with the FE. A 302/351 Windsor was very tempting.

Any chance of changing the title to "Your Favourite Ford Engine" since we are in the Canadian section and all?

I had to go with the 302-351 as my favorite engine wasn't on the list. 7.3 Powerstroke all the way!

colour it what you like, The 300 I6 is the toughest engine out there, very reliable. Tough to break.

Hard to pick just one series of Ford engines with so many good ones to chose from.

What!!!!!!!! No 4-in-a-row?????????

OK,OK......So it's only half an engine by most guys standards, but I've beat on several 2.3s and they kept on running. My 97 Ranger has the 8 plug 2.3 & it manages very well when put to task. I just got an 84 Mustang (2.3) from an estate with 21,280 original KMs & it runs like new. Too bad about the rest of the car.
V-8s..........The FE is king.
AL.

Ford has too many different engines to list here. I just choose the most common engines the were available to '80.

Dealford has a good point.
There are so many 2.3 I4 out there with second lives in race cars and trucks.
My friend would scoop up as much 2.3 engines as he could find. He loves the old Pinto engines. There were alot of performance companies that made tons of horsepower come from those 2.3 engines.
