it may not be comtrolled by the computer but its also will not charge for the first 40 seconds after starting the truck. Time it. the glow plugs can be on from 0 seconds to 2 minutes. but everytime the alternator will not charge for 40 seconds. many have said that is due to the glowplugs but its not.
