What differentials and transfer case are..
in my 86 f150 4x4? I just bought it today and have no idea what the front or rear diff is or which transfer case it is. I bought it for a project for my father in law and I to fix up and Im pretty good with most mechanics but that was mostly cars and not trucks. It is the 4.9 L 300 six cylinder with 4 speed manual which brings up another question, what brand/number is the 4 speed? (ex.. borg warner t-10, etc.) It is all stock with no mods if that helps. can you post the info from the door tag? It'll say what tranny it is by it's code. The Tcase should have an ID tag in the center for an NP208, or cast in the rear below the driveshaft yoke if it says Borg Warner 13-45 or 13-56.
