Replacement Fuel Cap
Some Jack@$$ kid stole my OEM gas cap last night. So.... I go to PepBoys, buy the corresponding 'locking' replacement. Now, I still have the ''check fuel cap'' message on the dash (which was there when the cap was missing) and the Emissions Light (which did not show up until after I put the new cap on).
Can you guys inform me as to what may be going on? Should the computer just be reset? Is there anything to worry about?
Truck is a 2006 V-10 4x4 SC, LB 3100 miles
Thanks!

If the light comes back on, that cap is probably vented, and it shouldn't be - The evaporative control system relies on a sealed system, venting only when the computer tells it to. If the cap is vented, the computer will see no pressure buildup and think the cap is off
