doing a swap from 351w to 460 in a 96 van. i need the brackets that bolt to the frame from a 92-96 with a 460 anything older then 92 will not fit. anyone doing a swap from like a 460 to a diesel or someone who has a blown up 460 van willing to sell parts reply also need a fan shroud and front engine accessory brackets y pipe have cash thanks
On the engine mounts, you're going to be better off using new ones. Finding used ones in good shape will be a PITA. The other parts you should be able to pick up a u-pull yard for next to nothing. I'd get an electric fan off a taurus or town car and remove the belt driven one.
i`am talking about the pearches that bolt to the frame. they are hard to find. most salvage yards take a torch to them. i will find me a good set. i just have to wait my turn. just like everything else when you are trying to build something sweet. lots of waiting! i was hoping someone here would have a van they were pulling a huge block out of to put in a pickup and were going to scrap the rest of the van because they cant use the mounts anyhow. once i find everything i need i`am getting rid of all my small block stuff. i have 5 302`s , 2 351w`s complete engines i have 7 aod transmissions, upper, and lower intakes, complete efi wiring harnesses (not just the engine side i mean complete) , tons of brackets, at least 10 pairs of exaust manifolds, about 20 drive shafts, all ford truck or van. i have small block cyl heads e6, e7, ecm`s, a pile of altnators, starters, steering pumps, 3 c6 trannies, 2 small, 1 big, 31 spline 9 inch complete axel`s,, and parts . just tons of things people need. been saving good stuff for a long time. i have 2 more small block projects and then everything else is out. on to where the power is at big block or diesel . time to start breaking axels and driveshafts because of torque. not trashing small block engines because you have to have them up in the 6000`s to get power out of them. i want to be able to put a big chain around a ranch style house and pull it off the foundation. lol
I am starting to swap a 351C out of a '93 van and putting in a 460 or 514 to tow a heavy trailer in the mountains. Can you give me an idea of why kind of trouble I am in for? Any tips, etc.? Anything would be appreciated! Also, do you know if a c-6 transmission is tough enough? And I have heard that there are tougher versions of this transmission, like a heavy duty torque converter? Know anything about it? Thanks

Reason: left out transmission problems
