some people..... must remain civil must remain civil.
sorry but people who tie up the emergency response system's time like that just get my blood goin. what if my mother were lying on the floor dying of a heart attack and I couldnt get ahold of the dispatcher to send paramedics because she was keeping the line busy? I get SUPREMELY PO'd at people who waste the dispatchers time for trivial crap like that.
they should make special punishments for people who show extreme stupidity when doing something illegal. they should make her hold a sign up along a busy road for a month with big words I AM STUPID AND DESPERATE.
It must be something about Oregon because here in Maine, every police agency has non-emergency phone numbers that things like that don't happen. But there I go making sense again.
If you call 911 for a non emergency (say traffic accident where no one is injured) please request that they transfer your call to the non emergency number. Thank you
It's idiot's like this, that was the reason I have been on hold, TWICE, when calling 911 for actual medical emergencies. (one a customer, not coming back out of a grand maul siezure, and the other, my grandmother collapsing)
i don't know what makes these people think things like this are a good idea! A few months ago the detroit news was doing a piece on how the ontario 911 system is having a LOT of problems like this. One lady was having a dispute with a manager at a burger joint and the manager wouldn't make her the burger the way she wanted so she called 911. Another lady called 911 to ask for directions, and another called to find out a phone number.....hello, information!!
Its so stupid and wrong! I hope she gets the max sentance.
