i drive a 1993 xlt and i am wanting to re-do the exhaust. i would like to run long tube headers with cutouts to an h pipe with dual mufflers exiting in front of the rear wheels with 5x24 tips. im thinking about running summit glasspacks or dynomax race bullets but i dont know what i should do about cats, and what i should do about relocating the o2 sensor. would it work if i put it in the h-pipe since it recieves pulses from both headers? thanks
yeah it does i was just wondering if i would still get an accurate reading from a longer h-pipe between the two headers. i dont see why it wouldn't but i would want to put the cut-outs behind the H-pipe so the sensor wouldnt trip out right?
i was planning on the manual ones just for the price but thanks for the tip about clamping rather than welding. there is little price difference but i think i might go with the bullets because i heard a sound clip of them and it sounded pretty good
yeah i was just gonna run the cut-outs for sound but not all the time. just every once in a while because its illegal and i dont really feel like getting a ticket. anyone had any experience with the summit glasspacks as far as sound and quality?
The summit glasspacks are well made and sound great, but they are a louvered core, and will restrict the flow more than a muffler with a perforated core, such as:
