engine rebuild
Just bought a 99 f350 cc drw 4x4 psd 6spd last night with a some front end damage for 7000. Got big plans to get this fixed up and sell the 250. As far as the engine goes i plan on a master rebuild kit, DI head studs, basic gauges, sending the block and heads away to get remanned, and i still have the DieselSite fuel sys and van turbo. Gonna go with the 6.0 i/c, stacks and dp chip. Anything else i should replace while overhauling this motor. Some injectors are possible depending on how much body work i get in to. Any good lines on an 05 front end would help. What are some prices as far as overhauling the motor?

i would go with Mahle ceramic coated pistons if you plan on getting injectors. if you aren't going all out with it, then stock compression is fine. since it's a 99 it has the forged rods. i would balance them and cyro treat them if you plan on pushing some major HP with the injectors, but i think not. also i would get chromoly push rods and a hi-rev valve spring kit if you plan on big HP also. what HP are you shooting for, by the HP i could give you a pretty good list of stuff you should have in there.

a set of nice single shot stage two injectors from your dealer of choice would be the best power. you could get split shots to keep the engine the same sound (quiet) or get single shots (with custom programming from jody) to make it sound somewhat like a beefed up OBS powerstroke. for the van turbo i would get an ATS housing and wicked wheel if you want the whistle.

i planned on some extrude honed stage 2s single shots. I have the ats housing and a ww. Gonna be a chip from jody too. kris what all should i get done as far as the rebuild and what is a close $ figure?

budget. i would like to limit it to around 3000 to spend on motor rebuild. Not including stacks, chip, injectors, studs, turbo. just engine and heads.
