FYI. if anybody else is running steel spoke rims keep an eye on them, coming back from austin i devoloped a bad vibration and i mean bad. Got to checking my tires figuring i slung a weight off and i found one of the spokes had a crack all the way though it. put the spare on and vibration went away. and to think i turned down a set of aluminum wheels because i thought the steel ones would hold up better.

geez! sounds like you just got a lemon of a steel wheel... never heard of a steelie doin this but have heard several accounts of alum wheels cracking/coming apart
you sure you werent jumping rocks out there in texas? i think you may have gotten tipsy one night and decided to show off to the local "coyote ugly's"

I've had two aftermarket steel replacement wheels bend on the front end. Ran them on the rear long enough to wear out the tires & threw then away. Also bent the OEM aluminums, but that was from hitting bumps on CA highways.

fishmann i passed that stage a long time ago. but the condition of the roads down here on the border are some of the worst in the country, worse than the LA area that i have been through. you should see the street in front of my house, we moved in a little over a year ago and their still working on it, it is currently dirt! but even with that i never expected to crack a steel wheel. but thats the way it goes.
