Have you switched over to the idi, or are you still wds? If you made the switch, are you using the palm pilot or the laptop? We have mazda as well, so we have 2 laptop setups.

We have both a palm pilot and a new toughbook with IDS. I like the toughbook better, because the screen is a little too small on the palm pilot for things like datalogger and power balance.

Well, the palm pilot has the PDS, not IDS.

Just got Dell D610 today, using it actually to make this post. Will hopefully get to use it tomorrow, but I already loaded IDS onto laptop.

I was told the palm pilot didnt have enough memory to do all the functions( only 85%)--thats why we have the toughbooks

Our palm pilot runs about 30 seconds behind when looking at several pids in the datalogger. That pretty well makes it useless when trying to find an intermittent concern on a road test.

I like to use the PDS for reprograms because it's so quick. I normally use WDS because it also has MD which you need for 650, 750 and LCF, and it's convieniently kept in the truck shop, unlike our 2 toughbooks that are kept under lock and key. For easy diags I just use NGS+.
