1977 Ford F150 4x4 - 33 inch mudders - power steering pumps last only about 2 weeks then it starts spraying oil out the top and appear to be dead.
Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this? It works fine for the 2 weeks then gone.

maybe something is messed up at the gearbox. If the pump is new and presumably fine, then the steering box might be binding up. Too much stress and the pump fails.
