I have a set of VDO gauges in my 56,the problem is the spedometer, it won't work and the only time it will move is when the truck starts and then it goes all the way round to 120 and then back and stops.I can't easily get under to check where it goes to the trans but it connects I think with some kind of sender to my C6. Any ideas
Thanks
John
Did the speedo ever work or is this a new problem? I have a vdo gauge set .The speedo instructions were a little confusing. They give 3 different methods of calibrations I used the MANUAL method and after 3 tries it worked. I became brain dead I guess. After it was done and working it was simple. What you have discribed so far is the way it supposed to work. Get out the instructions and reread them.
If this an old gauge w new problem you might check your HULL AFFECT SENSOR on Trans. This all works off elect. There is a three wire cable to gauge that plugs into speedo .Maybe this is loose. Do you still have instruction sheet? LOL caddy 53 chuck Centerburg Ohio
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader , or a similar Acrobat reader ( XPDF, KPDF etc, in Linux for example) to view it.
Regards,
Rick
