im looking for a decent pyro for my 7.3 non turbo. i have read to put it in the drivers side manifold right after the last port. i found this one for what looks like a good price but how is the brand i dont want something that i need to replace in a year. VDO 310953 - VDO Cockpit Gauges
VDO makes a good product in my opinion. I have them on the boat (Twin Cummings) with no issues although I do not have this exact gauge as the EGT's are monitored by alarms and auto shutdown on the water.
Can't say anything specific about VDO's pyro gauges, but I've had good luck with a couple other of their gauges. I had a tach and a temp that worked pretty good.
Now I'm a fan of Autometer for the most part. I'd probably go with this one for the same price, but I'm I also like the white face dial better.

I have an isspro and i really like it, it was easy to install and didnt take to long. The Gauge has a large face that is really easy to see, especially at night with the light.
make sure you get a guage that has the temp reading at every 100* to 200*, cause its a pain in the butt if it isnt.
